Tony Wheeler – Child & Family Therapist

Tony Wheeler is a Child and Family Therapist supporting children, young people, and families through emotional, behavioural, and relational challenges. He holds a Master of Child and Family Therapy from Deakin University, along with qualifications in psychology, family therapy, and disability, and is an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

Tony brings extensive experience from roles across Lifeline, Youth Justice, residential care, disability services, kinship, foster care support and extensive experience in the private sector working as a Child Family Therapist.

Tony works with a wide range of concerns including trauma, anxiety, emotional regulation, neurodiversity, behavioural challenges, self-esteem, school refusal, grief, and family relationship difficulties. His approach integrates play therapy and family-based interventions, offering both directive and child-led support tailored to each family’s needs.

Tony accepts self-funded NDIS participants and private clients and is currently accepting
