Molemap by Dermatologists

What are the chances you have melanoma?

Australia has one of the highest rates of melanoma in the world and 2 out of 3 of us will have skin cancer by age 70. That’s why it’s so important to have regular full-body skin checks by skin cancer detection specialists.

Do I need a skin cancer check?

Yes if you have:

  • Ever been badly sunburned
  • Used a sunbed
  • A personal or family history of melanoma or other skin cancers

At your appointment

You will be seen by a registered nurse melanographer who is specially trained to identify and image lesions showing features at higher risk of skin cancer. We use the gold standard in melanoma detection to image your lesions.

After your appointment

The melanographer will securely forward your imaged lesions to our dermatologists who are experts at diagnosing early stage melanoma - when it’s most treatable. Our dermatologists work remotely via telemedicine. They will review your lesions and prepare a comprehensive report.

Your report

Within 10 days of your appointment your comprehensive dermatologist report will be is ready to download. It will include comments and any recommendations for treatment.

Treatment

To remain impartial we don’t provide treatment – you will need to return to your GP or specialist for this.

Highly accurate

Because Molemap can more accurately identify melanoma, there is less need to surgically remove benign (harmless) moles2.
